Getting rear ended

That
CRUNCH
you feel on your rear bumper could be happening because you are a Conscientious driver, obedient to the rules of the road. In the meantime, that pavement burner behind you is blazing his own trail and not even noticing that you've slowed for the legal posted speed!

WHY?
Was he/she in a hurry to get that poor goldfish at home some gourmet food? Perhaps a cousins friend was about to deliver a baby in the next town and they need a cheering crowd! Whatever the excuses, There's no reason to exceed the speed posted. Even the police are strictly limited in their speeds in pursuits in many cases.

What states are worst for rear end collisions?

Who are the drivers doing the rear-ending?

When were they at their worst, time of day or night?

Where do the collisions most often occur?

Was the driver distracted by their own non driving activity as they drove? For example: phone, makeup, map, child, food, drink, talking to passenger, having intimate conversation or more?

Could it be a little non scientific survey here could help illuminate the topic. We need to shed more light on the villains, the speeders, the reckless, the daredevils of the right-of-way that are hurting people who are obeying the traffic laws. Help those perpetrators get their eyes opened to the hazards they are and provide information to them to encourage their return to safer driving practices!

Do you have a picture of an infraction occurring on the road?
Let's see it!

Do you have a word or three of a trouble making driver that causes people to get out of the way?
Let's hear about it!
